Paddle Product and Subscription setup

Guide on how to add Paddle Product and Subscription to your Paywall

Step 1: Create Paddle One-Off Product or Recurring Subscription

1. Log into Your Paddle Products dashboard.

  • Navigate to the Product Catalog dashboard.

  • Click on the + New Product button.

2. Add Product Details

  • Name: Enter the product name. This helps you track inventory or provisioning.

  • Description: Optionally, describe the product.

  • Image: Optionally, add an image for the product.

  • Advanced Options: Optionally, add a statement descriptor, unit label, or metadata.

  • Click Save

3. Add a Price to Your Product

Once the product has been defined, you now need to create associated prices.

Click "New Price"

Base Price: Choose the price and currency

NOTE: The base price will be converted to all available local currencies.

Type: Define whether the pricing is one-time or recurring.

Tax: Choose the tax type from the dropdown menu.

Billing Period: Define the period, either monthly, annually or a custom period.

Internal description: Add a description of this price for reference and clarity. For example: 'Annual subscription'.

Price name: Add a price name displayed at the checkout and on invoices

Step 2: Open the 'Product' Screen in Onboarding Online

1.Navigate to Your Onboarding Online Project

  • Find the Paywall Products menu in the right panel.

  • Click on the + Add Product button.

2.Enter a useful name and Switch to the Paddle tab.


Step 3: Fill in Paddle Subscription or Product Details

Select the Product Kind:

  • Subscription: Recurring payment type.

  • Product: One-time purchase payment type.


Step 4: Add a product to your Paywall

Add a Paywall to your project and open it's settings

Go to 'Subscription items'

Enter the name of your product here:


Done. Your product is now connected to the Paywall.
